Here are a few cool artists I've had the pleasure of working with so far this year:
The 20Minute Loop album is finished and should be out shortly
The cartoon series Wubbzy on Nickelodeon just won an Emmy. Congratulations to creator Bob Boyle and the whole team!
Well, 2007 is done - pow, just like that. Along the way I finished the next Daisybox record, which is their best record yet - really strong material and a more mature sound. Several songs are in rotation on radio here in France, and the song "Le Dessert" was #1 on Radio Néo's new add list! Look for the disk early in 2008 and check their site for details:
Krisha's new record is done as well and should be in stores in early 2008. They've already started filling up their tour schedule for the new year - look here for more info:
Mixing for The Craftmen Club was finished in early December at Studio Plus9 in Paris and the record should also be coming out in 2008. Take a peak here for all the latest:
This fall I started into the second season of super-fun music for Wubbzy on Nickelodeon. Composer Brad Mossman keeps the little yellow character hopping all season with great songs that make the little ones go crazy (parents seem to like it too as the fan mail keeps pouring in). Check out the fun!
Looking forward to the new year - happy 2008 everyone!
2007 is looking to be a busy year. Just remixed the next single for radio for the French group Matmatah. Just before that I spent a week tracking at Studio GAM in Belgium with the French group The Craftmen Club. I recently got to mix a single at Studio Mega, Paris (always nice) for a project to benefit AIDS awareness in Africa, and included some great singers like Assia, Princes Erika, Patxi, and Riké to name just a few. In April I hauled my rig to the French countryside and set up camp for some tracking with French band Krisha - complete with fresh cow's milk! Wow!
Wrapped up 2006 by mixing two songs for David Cassidy before the holidays - can you say "C'mon Get Happy!"
Finished mixing the new Matmatah record for Universal France. The first Single "La Cerise" has already hit radio. The tracks were recorded at the wonderful Vega Studio in the south of France. I mixed the first few at Apollo Studio on their Icon, and the rest at Capitol in Paris on the 9000J.
Songwriter Michael Brandmeier just won "outstanding male singer/songwriter in the pop category" at the Los Angeles Music Awards with the song, "Anymore" which we did together earlier this year.
Just finished a week of tracking at Tiny Telephone in San Francisco with Bay Area indie fav's 20 Minute Loop. Looking forward mixing that in early 2007.
